Local SEO Experiment – Ranking Web Design Sudbury
Want to know what I get up to when I’m not building websites?
Hey – John Reimann here. This is a test for ranking for the term “Web Design Sudbury“. If you know me then you’ll know that building websites is only part of what I do.
A great website is only 1 piece of the jigsaw. It’s no use having a website if it’s not doing anything for you or your business. That’s why it’s important to invest in driving highly targeted traffic to it. But you know that already.
Any digital marketer who wants to stay ahead needs to not just keep up with announcements from Google, Facebook, Twitter etc, but they also need to follow industry leaders.
But, if they want to be seen as an industry leader then they needs to perform their own research and share it with the world. That’s what this post is about.
I’m at the very start of a local SEO experiment. It’s fairly well acknowledged that Google like to give priority to their own properties (maps is a prime example).
So instead of trying to rank my own website for a specific keyword I thought I’d create a Google site to test if it was any easier. I’m targeting the keyword: Web Design Sudbury. The link at the top (or below) will take you to the Google site in question if you’re interested.
Despite the simple appearance of that page, there are some complex factors at work. I’m not ready just yet to share the details as I don’t want to risk skewing any results. However if it works as I think it might, there may be an awesome new service on the horizon.
Here’s the raw link if you’d like to take look (there’s a valuable gift there too): https://sites.google.com/site/webdesignsudbury/
